Paul + Solina
My first encounter with this lovely couple was through email – an email that I was so close to deleting since the subject line read: Proposal Photos. I thought some stranger was sending me proposal photos, but it turned out that Paul (whom I didn’t know) needed a photographer to take secret proposal photos. I said yes, but more importantly, his girlfriend now fiance Solina said YES! The setting was just like one you’d see on a Nicholas Sparks movie set. A long pathway covered with autumn leaves next to a secluded wooded area leading to a gazebo. At the end of the path stood a tent and inside a bottle of champagne and two glasses. Oh, and of course rain – adding to the romance and drama. I swear, I thought Ryan Gosling was going to show up in a rowboat and sweep me off my feet. It was all too perfect.
I may have a promising career in becoming a paparazzi because Solina had no idea I was capturing it all from beginning to end. I really thought my pregnant belly would be seen popping out from behind a tree or something. Appreciative of what I did for them, they asked me to take their engagement photos – this time no camouflage!
Little did I know that by opening that email I’d be opening up an opportunity and a relationship that I could only dream of. Paul and Solina, in the little time I’ve known you I can already tell that you both have a heart of gold. You guys reminded me why I love what I do. Everything seemed so natural and easy that day, I forgot I was 7.5 months pregnant! So happy that the two most sweetest and loving souls have found each other.
xo,
J
