6 Years Together

Dear Jason,
Lately, we seem to have more bad days than good
Fights become more frequent
Tiredness becomes our norm
Survival becomes our only mode
Sweatpants become our daily wear
And showers become a private dream getaway

A week ago, we were lucky enough to have our own little dream getaway to celebrate our 6th Anniversary in Niagara (without kids!) and it was one of the best ones yet. Yes, Niagara.

It brought back memories of our life without Zoey and Emma and although I missed those quiet moments with you, I missed our girls even more.
I realized that no matter how full and tiring our schedules are now, our lives have also become so much fuller since the day we got married and our capacity to love has at least tripled with our two beautiful girls and one more baby girl on the way.

Fights, tiredness, survival, sweatpants and the need to escape may be our reality, but those things are so small compared to the life and the lives we’ve created together.

6 years in and life is so different now.
It is far greater than anything I could’ve ever dreamed of and our family makes me realize that if I was stripped away of everything else in my life, I would still feel like the luckiest and richest girl in the world.

Happy 6 years, baby.
Let’s celebrate life and love the best way we know how – in our sweatpants.
