Dear Appa,
You are here with us.
And you are always there for us.
Even when we give you a hard time, you never give up on us.
And when your life feels like an episode of “The View” and you’ve just had enough, we know you’ll always be our leading man.

You’re not always the best at expressing your feelings through words, but you show us every single day what love is through the things you do.
Thank you for making us breakfast when mommy doesn’t wake up.
For trying to get us dressed.
For mastering your version of the ponytail.
For giving us horsey rides after a long day at work.
For pushing us on the swings and pushing us to do our best.
For reading to us and praying with us just before bed.
For putting us first even at the very end of a long and tiring day.

You show us that love takes constant sacrifice, hard work and perseverance. It doesn’t always bring out the best in you, but it drives you to be better. And that love is worth fighting for.

Most days we think you love to yell, but one day we’ll realize you yell only because you love.
We’ll realize why the tablet is our babysitter.
Why you give us timeouts and why you need time away.
Why you always sound like a broken record when it comes to eating, sharing, cleaning and going to bed.
Why you always push us out the door and push us to do our best.
Why you always want us to get along and be there for each other.

One day we’ll realize that even though you’re not perfect, your love for us is made perfect through Him.
You love because He loved us first.
And you sacrifice so much for us because He sacrificed it all.

Thank you, Appa.
Your presence in our life is the greatest gift. Your actions speak louder than words. Who you are to us speaks volumes of God’s unconditional and unfailing love.
Thank you for the security in knowing that you will never leave our side, but hold our hand even tighter with every step.

Happy Father’s Day, Appa.
We want you to know that we’re always here for you and will always love you, our leading, loving, main man.

Left, right and centre.
Zoey, Emma & Romy
