Never Stop

Dear Zoey,
For your 5th Birthday, we surprised you with a 2 day trip to a Niagara Falls waterpark. When we told you we were leaving that very same day the look on your face was “We’re going to Disney World!” priceless.
Princess suitcases packed with princess toys, waterslides, water games, arcade games, neon lights, prizes, hotel beds, spaghetti topped with extra cheese, a special birthday dessert, playgrounds and sunny days, it was a birthday getaway to remember. But the one thing I’ll never forget is when it was just you and me and we were walking down the hall in the hotel. That’s when you turned to me and said “Mommy, I love you and I will never ever stop.” For me, that moment we shared was priceless.

Zoey, you’ve grown. When I see the things you do and say, I’m amazed at how much you’ve grown. I love how we can talk and have a deeper connection. I also love that you have a sense of humour now. I love how we can joke around and just share a good laugh.
But I love it most when we can just be ourselves.

Today, I want to turn to you and say “Zoey, never stop.”
Never stop loving, never stop dreaming, never stop hoping, never stop being happy, never stop being you.
Above all, never stop.
Happy 5th Birthday, Baby girl.
