Bind the Broken

My thoughts and prayers go out to those affected by the tragic Connecticut elementary school shooting. As a parent, I cannot even begin to imagine what those parents affected by this senseless and horrific act are going through.

This quote from President Obama touched my heart…
“This evening Michelle and I will do what I know every parent in America will do which is hug our children a little tighter and we’ll tell them that we love them and remind each other how deeply we love one another, but there are families in Connecticut who cannot do that tonight.”

In brokenness, I’m reminded to value and cherish the relationships I often take for granted. Life is so precious yet fragile. We should be grateful each and every day for the gift of life and those whom we share it with.

Zoey, I cannot wait to see you so that I can give you a big hug and kiss and never let you go.
